This quaint place in Escalante is a cozy and comfortable home away from home. The hosts are wonderful and very attentive. The room was spacious, decorated with love and stocked with fridge, water kettle, tea, coffee (the best instant coffee I ever had) and even books and bathrobes. We had a bit of a cold spell but the beds had soft and plush duves. There is a flower garden to enjoy and a guest lounge where onecan make or heat up their meals or read through all the information material laid out.

The couple who own the Inn are friendly and offered lots of hiking advice.

We have stayed in lodgings all over the world and Loubird Inn rates in our top 10. It was a lovely comfortable inn to come back to after a day of hiking. We loved waking up to birdsong and sitting on our front porch with drinks. Gracious hosts with two adorable daughters only added to the charm. And breakfast/brunch at Magnolia’s Kitchen a block away was the best pre-hiking prep!

The location was safe and beautiful, the property made me feel like I was at home. The property was located on a hill in a small neighborhood. There was a grill, hammock, fruit trees I was welcome to pick fruit from, and the guest house was connected to their kitchen. They were always there, they were very friendly and were there if I needed anything. It was a great experience. They even picked fruit from their trees and had it in a bowl waiting for me in my room. The fruit was delicious.
