Monument valley is beautiful, a stunning location. Everything was clean and comfortable Good Dreadful food, served cold and when I asked for it to be heated up it came back still cold. I sent it back again, very politely but again it came back cold. I was asked by a different waiter if my meal was ok and I explained that it wasn't and told him what had happened. He said he would sort something out. Nothing happened, I ate some of my steak and left the potatoes and veg with sauce. On receiving the bill, no money had been taken off so I asked the waiter why and he referred me to an older man named Garrett. I went over and explained the situation and he was immediately defensive and in a fairly aggressive manner said “Well, you ate it didn't you!” I told him I ate some of the steak as I was hungry but left the rest. He immediately came back with “thats not what the waiter said, he said you were happy with the meal” I said “No, that isn't correct, we can get him over here to explain what actually happened” but Garret spoke over me saying “thats two different stories then!” I could see I was getting nowhere. He offered me 20% off my meal which I took because by then I felt quite upset by the way I had been treated. The meals aren't cheap and I get the impression that because the guests have very little choice with the hotel being so remote, there is a complacency verging on cockiness that makes the catering staff take very little pride in the service they provide. It is hands down the most disappointing meal I have ever been served and I have never before eaten in a place where a problem with the meal could have been fixed so quickly and easily by a minute or two in a microwave and was deliberately not fixed. The other people dining with me had cold veg and lukewarm fries too,which leads me to think that the majority of guests were suffering the same fate. I read on trip adviser that this is a very common occurrence and I cant understand how it keeps repeating. I would never return to or recommend the hotel to anyone for this reason.

The View hotel is located in beautiful Monument Valley. Every room has a wonderful view. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and nice. Rooms and lobby area was very clean. The bathroom was clean and had big nice towels. Carpet was also clean. The front desk was friendly and helpful. I had a problem with working the coffee machine and the front desk sent someone to my room within minutes to show me how it worked.

Fresh air Hotel is located near Grand Canyon but access is difficult due to rocky roads and dirt surface which could be difficult after rain. There was no bed. Only an air mattress on the ground. It was an old canvas tent.
