Single inn- KAOHSIUNG LINSEN, КАОСЮНГ, Тайвань

This hostel with tiny singles and a large dorm is like a throwback but offers a great bargain not far from main station. Perfectly clean, friendly staff, good wifi. Unexpected bonus is the onsen! It's old but well maintained with four pools, icy to hot, a steamroom and sauna. Note one limitation, onsen is open only 1200-0100 and has the only showers, so you have to shower at night. There's free tea and coffee and sometimes snacks.

This place is perfect if your flight arrives late into the evening as there is a 24 hour front desk! The staff is very friendly. Very close to metro station. The sauna and pools are nice.
