Hotel Evsen took responsibility upon themselves to find a transfer from airport last minute, and did not charge me for it, as they have understood the problem I was facing. Didn't like that Ostrovok website indicated "transfer from airport" as part of the booking offer, however no transfer was arranged. When I called them about it - they said that "transfer is an added service" and requires "additional payment", and they are not responsible for my misunderstanding, even though it is very clear that when booking through "Ostrovok", the hotels which offer "transfer as additional service" have "Additional" listed under the description of "transfer service", and clearly indicate "Additional Fees Apply" for this service. I have booked Evsen after filtering for hotels which offer "Free Breakfast" and "transfer" as part of the booking. Having to worry about not having a transfer arranged right before my arrival was a very bad experience.

Almost all Istanbul historical sights area located within 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel offers a rich breakfast buffet with a various selection of dishes. The food is tasty. The bed has comfortable mattress yet it is pretty short, so tall people may experience some discomfort. Room was clean and tidy. However, staff sometimes have forgotten to restoke soap and toilet paper. Staff was very polite and always ready to help. Walls were quite thin so one can hear people from neighbouring suite. Especially, if neighbours are noisy.
