My daughter and I LOVED this hotel. The art is unbelievable - each piece full of life and expression. The staff was beyond perfect - opened personal honey wine, served dinner when we arrived at 9:45 PM, and were always positive and fun even though we couldn't speak French or Spanish. The room was out of a Matisse painting - a beautiful french door. opening to a small balcony where you could see part of the Mediterranean Sea. Room was spotless with more stunning paintings and a bathroom with lots of hot water and worked perfectly. Food was excellent. Location was right in the village of Collioures, 350 ft. from the Mediteranean and within easy walking distance of everything - the ancient and beautiful winding allies, shops, church, lighthouse, castle, boats, art museum, restaurants. The hotel held all the charm of this 700 BC village that was home to ancient religions, Mary Magdalline, the Impressionists, and numerous historical events.
