The location couldn't possibly be better. Walking distance from the train station, walking distance to pretty much everything, whether great restaurants or lovely castles. Amboise is a small city and very easy to get around, a fine hub for Loire Valley castle visits even without a car. The apartment is really charming, in a vintage building right across the street from the castle and with beautiful view of the Loire on the other side. Very well setup for comfort too, thoughtful very functional kitchen setup, good assortment of tourist lit, laundry facility.. We were there in a heatwave and the ceiling fans really saved us from too much discomfort. We spent over a week, there were a couple nits of appliance malfunction and the owners couldn't have been more kind and responsive.
