beautiful located castle along the Loire river. I was mid january so off season hence nobody except two other guest. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed this time of the year. The place is wonderful, and the breakfast was very good. Nice and friendly staff in the morning. Make sure you read your confirmation mail as it contains entrance code for the door and a reservation code you need to get your key from a machine if reception is unstaffed. Room 102 is spatious, original with wonderful beams, fireplace and windows, yet brand new bathroom facilities.

The hotel is a wonderful old building with its little quirks and oddities, close to the center of town and the bride and easy for a walker to access. In good weather the central courtyard is a fine place to sit and read or listen to birdsong.

We went to sleep with the view from our window of a full moon just across the river. Incredible place to stay, so much history! The restaurant is also extremely beautiful. Will definitely recommend it.

The room had a wonderful view over the river, and was spacious, unfortunately the window is small . The shower room was large with a walk-in shower, and good size washbasin. Again unfortunately we were there during a top 30's heatwave so the room was very hot, but the hotel supplied a fan, which was much appreciated. The hotel included in there popular facilities a restaurant, which didn't actually belong to the hotel, even though it is on the premises. It was my birthday and I was looking forward to a nice meal. The menu was minimal which is okay if there has been thought and effort put into the courses, but it was pretty plain. Plus it was not cheap, I get a lot better at home. We had not booked breakfast, expecting a good feed the night before. I would stay again, as the hotel is in a very pleasant area,

Lovely place and wonderfully helpful staff. I had made a mistake with my reservation, which the hotel could have easily exploited at my expense. I’ve had that happen before. But this hotel couldn’t have been more gracious about finding a solution. I’m so appreciative that their help allowed us to stay at this delightful property on the river
