Breakfast was very plentiful. Jean Marie was generous and tailored to our liking.

From the moment we walked into the beautiful garden in bloom we felt the peace of this space. Charming and lovingly restored guest house with attention to detail. Jean-Marie and his son Zephyr so accommodating and made sure we were happy. Tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was croissants and bread, cheese and prosciutto, French press coffee and fresh OJ and fruit- we were well satisfied for our adventures.

Iove the historic floors and winding staircase and little cut flowers in glasses in every room was such a nice touch.

NOTE to those with mobility issues this may not be the place for you. One bedroom on floor above ground level with bathroom

Next to it and next floor another bed. Both are extremely comfortable. Just about in center of town we were able to walk everywhere. Can’t beat the location. the price is fair - all in all a great stay !

Beautiful gardens and architecture of apartment. Plenty of room for us to find some individual space and shared space. Our host was charming and helpful. Fresh bakery in the morning! And Zephyr introduced us to our rooms and arranged great Bayeux dining. Couldn’t be happier with our stay at Maison d’hotes du Charmes!

I made this reservation quickly and did not research so I was unaware it was a B and B. All in all it was great but my wife is not a fan of the B and B experience. Our host was terrific and he has done a wonderful job with the centuries old home. The breakfast was wonderful. Jean-Marie prepared it in consultation with us and it did not disappoint.

The setting was idyllic. The privacy the courtyard provided from the street was terrific. The use of the garage for our car was an added bonus. The assistance offered from the host(s) was just right, everyone was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was exactly what I think of when imagining the quintessential French breakfast. The location was perfect for touring Normandy and the surrounding areas.
