Amazing place and staff, restaurant. Everything was perfect.
Phenomenal location, beautiful building and very atmospheric and romantic
Fantastic experience! The hotel personal was very friendly, excellent restaurant, nice atmosphere and impressive botanical garden.
Photos and words cannot do this wonderful place justice. The location is simply breathtaking and once the last ferry leaves around 5:30pm you have the entire island to yourself with the other few hotel guests (10 rooms in total). There are picturesque viewpoints all around the island in the various areas of the botanical garden, where the vegetation is assembled by world region. The restaurant, while expensive, is worth every penny. Certainly one of the best dining experiences we have ever had - an intimate, quiet, superbly delicious meal looking out over the lake to the lovely town of Ascona under the kind and watchful eye of the restaurant manager who handles all table duties alone.
Absolutely fantastic location, total paradise and the botanical gardens of Ticino all to yourself after 18,00hrs. Excellent restaurant with knowledgeable staff. Well worth the price !
