Set in the medieval Old Town, Kreuz Bern Modern City Hotel enjoys a central location in Bern, a 5-minute walk from the railway station. It features modern accommodations, the Bärenhöfli restaurant, as well as free fitness facilities and an infrared cabin. Receptionist are helpful and friendly. Unlike typical hotel I know (it's my first time in Swiss), this hotel doesn't provide water + beverages in room, instead provide it in public coffee station room. The selection of beverages are generous. The location is 5 mins walk from Bern Station, which I think is ideal, not too far walking.
The breakfast selections are decent, provide specific vegetarian stall to help people who explicitly avoids meat or finding easy halal foods.

Lots of unexpected amenities like a terrace garden room off the breakfast room with blooming peonies, a charming little library room with books for both adults and children. Many small conveniences: the bed lamp has a small spot light so one person can read while the other sleeps. Just the friendly bright vibe in general made it a lovely place to stay. And the location could not be better. Walking distance from the train, and close to the best restaurants and museums.
Great location close to parking, and walkable to all the major attractions.
Morning walk to the River and back to see the sunrise was amazing.
The breakfast was a good value and also they have good tea and coffee stations open whole day.
