Welcome to Amuura Beach Hotel in Beruwala, our little paradise right on the beach! In 2023, we, Nina and Ray, took over this small oasis. Here, we don't just provide a place to stay; it's more of a home where guests can experience the sound of waves, the gentle breeze of the ocean, and forge new friendships. Amuura is about community, and our goal is to bring people together and create lasting memories, whether over a cozy dinner or a game of cards. The rooms at Amuura Beach Hotel are designed in antique Singhalese style. Each room comes with a safe, a mosquito net, and a comfortable bed for a restful sleep. The spacious bathroom is located in the hall, offers only nice refreshing water and is shared by all five rooms. The days start on our wonderful terrace with a breakfast that not only indulges the stomach but also the senses. A small omelet, crispy bread, and fresh fruits – that's the foundation. But at Amuura, every breakfast is a surprise with daily changing highlights, whether it's hearty porridge or a small smoothie bowl. In our little paradise, the focus isn't just on the rooms. Our garden with hammocks invites you to linger, the terrace offers a breathtaking view of the ocean, and on the beach, a gentle breeze will caress your hair. It's more than just a stay – it's an experience. Want to explore the surroundings? Explore Barberyn Island, borrow our free snorkel masks, enjoy a relaxed mangrove tour on the Bentota River, or embark on a spiritual journey from temple to mosque. Our hotel is just 49 mi from Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo). Feel free to use our shuttle service for an additional fee. Alternatively, Beruwala railway station is only 5 minutes away by tuk-tuk or car. Please be aware that we can´t accept card payment at the moment.
