I loved staying at Sam’s homestay. I had the house to myself and loved that it’s tucked away from the main bustle of the city. The house is basic but got all you need. Even kitchen and living room! The garden is amazing and peaceful! Sam and his family are warm and kind and very friendly hosts. It was Christmas and he even organized a tree and lights for me. I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to support local tourism and support families like Sam!

The description and photographs correspond to reality, with the exception of small details. In the main part of the house there are 2 rooms and it turns out to be a shared kitchen, but this didn’t bother me (it’s just not perceived that way from the description), there is also a second part of the house, with its own kitchen, which is now being prepared for guests. One of the rooms is rented for a long time by cool guys who have already made and continue to make a huge contribution to the improvement of this place, for which many thanks to them! That’s why it’s very cozy there, I really enjoyed it. Sam is a very caring and hospitable host! In general, advice, make an objective analysis with a comment, since someone might have been more or less lucky with something during one or another rental period, this is normal. But, definitely, this is one of the best options in Weligama!
