Amazing location, friendly staff, flexible checkout

Very close to centro Mercado, my room was clean, pillows and bed was comfortable, and the waterfall shower was delightful. Breakfast was provided (scrambled eggs, toast and fruit with coffee and juice) Staff was super friendly, and allowed me a late checkout (2:00) as I had a flight at 5:00, which was much appreciated so I could get some sleep. The lady at the desk even helped hail me a cab when I left.

Excellent experience. I am a retired solo traveler from Canada. Stayed 2 weeks plus and found it great. The price is excellent and more than competitively priced. Accommodations are clean, quiet, safe, and convenient, with restaurants, stores, and the historic center nearby. The metro (Tranvia) to and from the airport is two short, smooth blocks away. I doubt there are better more economical rooms available. Enjoy! PS. breakfast included. The name is Hotel Balcon del Arte and the entrance is a hole in the wall. Reception is about 7m back of the street through 2 security doors with buzzers.
