Location, friendly staff, ski/snowboard locker rooms with hotel and outdoor entrances.

We had a great time. It is near restaurants and ski in and ski out.

Stayed 4 nights leading up to new years for a family ski trip. Rooms are a little outdated but well kept, bathrooms are private (huge plus over shared options around the area, good soaking tub), good ski in/out access to Happo one report (right next to Shirakaba 2 lift, can ski downhill a bit to reach Gondola), decent public bath with hot dry sauna. Very friendly staff.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Petit Hotel Shitaka. Before I got there I accidentally left my wallet on the bus, and after I told the staff at the hotel, they not only offered to call the bus company and helped me track down the wallet, but also called me a taxi to take me to the lost & found at the bus company's office. They even shared with the taxi driver what happened and asked the taxi driver for help with the communication with lost & found for me. Utmost respect to the staff at Hotel Petit Shitaka!
