Basically we liked everything about this great hotel. The owner is a lovely guy who speaks excellent english and helped us in a variety of ways. With out a doubt this would be the best place to stay in Sakata.
Make sure you book dinner and breakfast when you arrive or you will miss a treat. Onsen was fun. Hotel very handy for the old rice warehouses. Seemed a bit odd when we first arrived but grew on us. Comfy lounge to sit in. Room small but manageable. Staff were great. Manager spoke very good English.
