The place was lovely. It was like stepping back in time. The host, Maiyu, and her husband were super friendly. They own a cafe downstairs where she serves very delicious traditional dessert. The town itself was lovely as well.
It's traditional bedding (so futon on the floor) and even though there was no AC at night, the cross breeze from some of the open windows, as well as the fans, made the room surprisingly cool. No mosquitos either!
The old resident house was built in the early 1900s and has been very well maintained. Our hosts were so lovely and very generous! They welcomed us with small gifts and a map to show us the best sites to see.
Location is very easily accessible by train.

Het was een prachtig 110 jaar authentiek huis, alles was mooi verzorgd. Het welkom was meer dan aardig. De locatie is rustig, ligt bij een haventje en je merkt meteen dat het minder hectisch is dan op het grote eiland. Het is van 12 tot 18 uur ook een klein beetje een cafe waar ze zelfgemaakte ohagi (rijstballen) serveren met thee of koffie.
