I had a wonderful stay at Barnes Fell. I was greeted by Ethna, who run's everything there. She is a super sweet woman who was very accommodating! The location in Ambleside was perfect, and the apartment was clean and comfortable.

The room was spacious and clean as well as good storage for luggage. There was private parking available behind the lodge. Quite a few nice restaurants and shops in close vicinity. Rob was a great host.
