The room is looking old and worn. Black tape used to cover a crack in the bar mirror, missing/non-matching tiles in the bathroom, toilet was leaking and the tv remote did not work. The breakfast I had on two mornings were both substandard. Overall, it was not value for money

It’s a great location to a lot of different areas and activities that suit either individuals, couples and families. The staff were welcoming, helpful, friendly and lovely. The hotels menu for room service could be changed remarkably. On previous occasions I have stayed there has been much more variety, and I could see definite change which meant then seeking out food from other sources. There were a couple of cleanliness issues and the rooms do require some maintenance. We are always happy to pay a premium price for comfort but I feel like this wasn’t the same value for what we paid and may look to experience some different accommodation for our next stay. Also as lovely as they look maybe best to turn off the gas look fireplaces on days that are almost 40 degrees. It was insanely hot in the lobby and reception area.
