Mackay Apartments is less than a 5-minute drive from both Mackay Base Hospital and Mackay Showgrounds. Mackay Airport is a 10-minute drive away.

Friendly helpful owners. Nice, basic and very clean room
Staff were extremely friendly. No problem at all with a late check in. Newly renovated bathroom. Spacious room for 3 adults traveling together. Well equipped kitchen with full size fridge.
Despite the photos and the external look of the property, The Rover proved to be a clean, comfortable and very affordable stay for the 5 adults we had travelling with us. Facilities allowed us to cook our own brewed coffee (yes I bring my own pot and beans), and steak and vegetables for dinner. The rooms were a great size and beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and the blankets were sufficient to stay comfy despite our adult children loving a very cold room for sleeping.
It rained torrentially through our stay but undercover parking allowed the car to stay dry and we managed to stay dry throughout the stay. Fairly close to all shopping centers we had no trouble accessing the local facilities.
