I had an amazing stay at Ecomama. Raham the host took care of me since the second I arrived. I arrived early to Khinalig and went on a long hike, upon my return, as soon as I walked into the village, he was there waiting for me. How he knew I was coming that way and at that time? We have to leave this to the magic of this great village. I drove a car rental and Raham guided me on how to get to his house. Once in the house I was shown my comfortable and clean room and he proceeded to light the wood stove to make it warm and cozy. I asked them in advance (strongly recommended) to make me dinners and his wife cooked a beautiful dinner and provided amazing fruit desserts. Next morning bfast was just as abundant and delicious. I give this guesthouse a 10/10, why it gifted me an amazing local hospitable and unforgettable experience.

I had an amazing time in Khinaliq thanks to Rehman and his family. I even extended my stay for a few more days. My room was very clean and comfortable and kept warm at night with a wood burning stove. I never went hungry the whole stay with lots of delicious local food. The hiking around the village is amazing and especially in the company of Pusat, the family dog who loves to go with you. This has been the highlight of my stay in Azerbaijan so far and a place I know I'll return to in the future.

We loved this experience. We are a family of 5 with children ages 6, 8 & 10. We believe in these experiences for our children. It’s a wonderful cultural experience. Beautiful village, people & sites.

Ramat(spelling??), the owner, and his family were very friendly. Food was delicious. Ramat gave me a ride back to Quba at a very good price. He even took me through the scenic route when we got close to Quba.

Rahman is an amazing host! Delicious food, clean room with very comfortable beds, and a wonderful family and dog! Rahman gave us great instructions on the hike to Griz and always ensured our tea was full. It lacks some modern amenities (squat toilet outside the building, rustic shower) but it is a great price and worth it. After all you are in Xinaliq for a reason- to enjoy the solitude of the mountains, not a 5 star hotel!
