Staffs are very helpful. Close to the bus terminal (means far from the entrance if trekking )

Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Easy to socialize with travellers and the kitchen was well equipped. The double room was very comfortable (we spent 11 days there), and the mattress and pillows are hard (which we liked). Hot water for showers.

Some hostels leave you with good memories bcoz of the people you met there. That’s my case at refugio elchalten. I stayed in the 4 person dormitory and it was comfortable . Hostel looks small , but it’s pretty big as I saw so many people there. Separate washrooms for women and men was definitely helpful. Lot of people were cooking food and common area is pretty big too. Gabriel is the staff who welcomed me in and he was so nice to everyone. Can surely feel all the people there kinda liked him . Since I was the only woman in the room , he offered me to take his room and he can sleep in the dormitory , that’s really sweet.

Very friendly hosts, hot water showers, maps & info on the walls and hosts answered any questions, enjoyed the double room we stayed in. A good hostel experience.

Great hostel, really feels like a refugio. There is only one common area (dining room), so it is easy to meet people as a solo traveler.
