Pool, pool bar, beachfront, AC, good location to restaurants and shops and the loving nightly handwritten messages

Location is incredible - on the beach, in the middle of Placencia with easy 5-10 minute walk to all of the Placencia restaurants. Two minute walk to Captain Jak's, one of the premier outfitters for snorkeling and other tours. Very attentive friendly staff, plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas so you can always get shade when you want it. Pool is very nice for adults looking to cool off or small children to play in. (This is primarily an adult hangout - only a few kids while we were there)

This place is probably the best place to stay in Placencia. Beachfront, contemporary, good size pool, only 12 rooms, I believe. Even fully booked you do not have the feeling of the place being overcrowded. ... staff went out of their way to make us feel happy and relaxed.... everything was perfect.

Excellent location, staff was very attentive and friendly. Great pool and beach area close to restaurants, bars and groceries. We really enjoyed our stay at the Ellysian and in Placencia and can't wait to come back!

Clean, quality amenities throughout the property, friendly and accommodating staff. Love having the pool located between the hotel and the ocean with a well appointed bar. Good size room.
