The hotel was built in the 1756 it is not a 2019. It has the old farmhouse look and feel. The employees are nice, greet you with a smile and will answer your questions. The Island and people have the calm attitude that soothes you. It is by the boardwalk and easy walking distance to shops and fort. I would stay here again when I return. The hotel is cheaper that BNB's and other hotels in the area. I read other reviews that slammed the motel for being old and dirty. "Apparently" those people needed a new and plan hotel to stay at. The hotel is currently working on it and updating things.

The location is good. Not even close to sound proof it sounded like everyone in the hotel was in my room. The cleaning lady literally broke into my room when I had the security lock on and was in the bathroom. She somehow opened the lock barged in and started walking around saying she was supposed to clean something. She was in plain clothes and had cell phone music at full volume. Obviously the secondary security locks that can only be locked from inside do not work. I got attacked by mosquitos all night and killed a roach crawling across the floor. I’m very glad I only stayed one night.
