I had a wonderful week-long stay at Moc Homestay. The room and shower were spotless clean.
It is located on a quiet inner street along the canal, where the water show takes place every night at 9:30 PM, minimizing both the lighting and noise.
The host was incredibly kind and thoughtful, which made my stay very comfortable.
I only realized after booking the room that it is located in Grand World. Personally, I'm not particularly fond of the touristy areas in Grand World, but the nearby beach was great for watching the sunset, and it’s only a 15-minute walk away.
I rented a bike from the homestay and explored the northern part of Phu Quoc. It's a more local area with a fishing harbor and mountains.
Amazing staff, you can rent an electric scooter or pertol one. The owner is very helpful, will show you best spots for local food (outside vinworld).
Very comfortable bed and clean.
The place is just the best for a solo traveler. Super clean, beds are comfortable, the shower and toilet are separated, which is not granted in Vietnam, you get free water upon check in.
But most importantly, the host and his parents operating the reception are beyond nice. They got us a free and very generous Christmas dinner and beers. The owner also speaks English and is aaaaalways smiling. It's also reasonably priced.
The Homestay is basically a hostel and kind of new. All beds, sheets, bathroom etc. were clean and fresh. It's very quiet in the area so you can sleep like a baby. The staff is also very kind and you can rent a motorbike.
This property is amazing. If you're solo traveler looking for an accommodation in GrandWorld area, just get this one, the only (and the best) choice in my opinion. And the staff was very hospitable and will get any information you need. Thanks L!
