Our hostess Louisa has a lovely apartment to spread out and get ready for our trek - she was really helpful for advising us on local food options as well as not falling into tourist traps. We had to check our very early the last morning and she was up and ready to see us out and unlock the main door. We felt secure the whole time and the cats came for a lovely visit.

Lots of space to spread out, close location to walk to the sights, very nice and attentive hostess.

Nice touches throughout. Spacious room. Surprisingly quiet for being on a busy road. Kind hostesses. Comfortable bed.

We had a great stay - our host was super friendly, took good care of us and helped us out in terms of all our practical needs.

I wasn't expecting to have a full kitchen in the room, along with some essentials such as coffee, salt and sugar for cooking breakfast. It had lots of pots and pans, along with plates, glasses, cups and silverware. The room was quite large. I expected a smaller place for the price of the room. The bed was on one side, the kitchen on the other side, and a dining area in the middle along with a couch for relaxing. The room has a private bathroom with hot shower, which is needed for the cold mornings of Quetzaltenango. The place was about 5 minute walk from central Park with the cathedral. The room was remodeled lately, in a historic area of town, so it was interesting to see how they used to build the houses a hundred years ago. They had a big pila where they still washed clothes and dishes by hand. The room is also to the back of the house, so there was no noise pollution during the night, which means that I slept very good. Also, it had a comfortable bed.
