This guest house is a historic red-brick building in the heart of Lüneberg’s Old Town district, a 5-minute walk from St. Michaelis Abbey. Gästehaus Drewes Wale features elegant interiors with historic-style décor. All rooms at Altstadt Gästehaus Drewes Wale include cable TV, a private bathroom and wooden floors. It is close to the old town. The parking lot is located in the vacant lot behind the accommodation, and there is a sign. There is no elevator because it is an old house. Breakfast is so-so.

This place was amazing and exceeded our expectations by a mile. There was no reception and no visible staff but everything operated like clockwork. We were told beforehand where we could park, for a minimal charge, and were sent a front door code. We were also sent our room number and told where the key would be. Breakfast times were on a leaflet as was the WiFi password. There were no staff at breakfast but everything was set up so that guests could help themselves. But the place itself is stunning; a C16th century brewery that has been converted into a guest house. Everything about it was charming and beautifully executed. We would certainly recommend it and would certainly return.
