We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment near the center of Solingen-Ohligs. It is well equipped with everything you'd need. Angelika was very friendly and accommodating as our host. We picked this spot as it was near the Bierboerse we wanted to attend, so we could walk there. There is a bakery around the corner and a supermarket at walking distance as well. Parking is free in the street itself. If you are interested in history, visit the Industriemuseum where it is shown how knives and scissors were produced in Solingen.

Cleanliness, easy to communicate with owner, space

Owners very accomodating and were able to switch apartments to ground floor as my wife has mobility issues and the stairs to second floor proved challenging. Both apartments were lovely and well appointed. Second floor ("London") apartment was better of the two but watch out for the stairs if you struggle at all. Ground floor apartment ("Dusseldorf") was more than adequate for few nights stay and still very comfortable, plus had easy access to terrace and garden. Also the cooler of the two if you are visiting in summer.

The apartment was well kept and very clean. The owners had provided a travel cot, with mattress and bedding without us requesting, in addition to several other items. This was very much appreciated and showed they understood their guests. I would definitely stay again in the future and recommend this apartment.

Frau Lorbach, the landlord, was very helpful and flexible. We had to postpone our trip because of the sickness of our daughter, and Frau Lorbach was totally fine with that.
