We used the apartment as a base to travel in and out of Cologne, Dusseldorf and other parts of Germany as we were over for Euro 2024. It served its purpose as we were there max 2/3 days at a time. My advice when getting the keys is to follow the instructions in the message sent on Booking.com (You'll need to use Google translate if you do not speak German) but I would recommend if you do not speak German to communicate with the host on WhatsApp and use Google translate. The apartment was newly renovated and very nice even though the house itself was old. We were pleasently surprised when we entered the apartment as the staircase up to the second floor was really old and worn down. It was awsome to have the free parking spaces right in front of the apartment.
The kitchen was new with all new appliances, a nice stove and fridge. A toaster, coffee machine and microwave.
If the backyard would have been kept up, tidy and clean - we would have loved to use it but it looked like it had not been attended to in years.
The same goes for the front yard. It badly needs maintenance.
