A family-run traditional hotel with character within a short walk of downtown Bayreuth. The staff was very nice and helpful. Like many others, I was in Bayreuth for the annual Festival. The hotel arranged transportation for us to (and, if desired, from) the Festival Theater (Festspielhaus) and kept their associated restaurant open for after-opera diners.
The rooms are comfortable and very clean, even if somewhat simple. But the breakfasts are ample and suitably lavish in the German style.
The small hotel restaurant was excellent: decor, service, lighting, and especially the food.
Easy to get to, with parking on-site, and an easy walk to the city center. Delicious dinner restaurant!
