This family-run guest house is beautifully situated at the foot of the castle hill. The sympathetic hosts with their welcoming straightforwardness make you feel right away at home. In the evening, we opted for an Italian dinner at the great Casa Nova, but there are indeed several restaurants where you can also enjoy local cuisine. After an authentic breakfast, we recommend to transients, especially to those who have never been to the Fichtel Mountains, to take the time to climb up to the ancient castle tower (no, it’s not Kafkaesque; yes, you gonna get closer!) and down into the astonishing history of the spa park with its gorgeous colonnades. A true eye-opener!

The hostess is very understanding and friendly. A great place to stay overnight while traveling. The town offers beautiful views and good restaurants. I recommend it!

Great place! We loved absolutely everything! Sandra, the manager, was very helpful and friendly, gave us good recommendations on where to go and what to see. The hotel room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The view from our window was incredible - over a very picturesque village. We will definitely come back when in the area.

Well furnished room with plenty of space and a balcony. Nice and dog friendly staff. Located in a sweet little village. Just stayed overnight on our way south but found good walking paths.
