This was an exceptional experience. The Alte Muenze was the perfect location, the breakfast was good but the room was superb. We requested this particular room but they could not guarantee. We received the room and we were very happy. As we were checking in late, they gave us perfect instructions on how to receive the keys to our room, the parking area etc. Super helpful and friendly staff. A very idyllic and historic hotel - just positively different.
The hotel made us feel really happy, lovely room and Goslar is a very picturesque town. The hotel breakfast is excellent and we were lucky enough to be sat in the dining room which is a beautiful room. The geography of the hotel was difficult to learn at first because of the several buildings and courtyards but we learnt our way around and it doesn't feel so far once you know your way around.
This may have been my favorite stay of the trip in terms of charm, integration into the city, and feeling like I was stepping into the past. Most "authentic".I wish I had had more time in Goslar.
Great location and nice hotel, we were in one of the apartments as we were with our dog. Next time would love to stay in the main hotel.
We were visiting Goslar for the Weihnachtsmarkt, so the location of the hotel was absolutely perfect. You walk out the front door and are in the Weihnachtsmarkt. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of fresh food and the room itself had lots of character and a nice balance between antique and modern. It was a little pricey, but well worth it. The staff were also all very friendly and helpful.
