We had a wonderful stay at Almost Paradise. The host was very friendly and generous with her time, sharing stories about the island and making us feel very welcome. The room was spacious and comfortable with a great view. Bonus points for the friendly cat
Lucinda is an exceptional host. Leaves you to your own devices if that’s what you want but always available and helpful when you need. If you like an unpretentious vibe, this is where to stay.
The place was very, very quiet (you only heard the rustling of th sea) and the view on the sea was extremely beautiful, one of the best sea views I ever saw (and I travelled a lot!). When I was there I also saw very many butterflies. The room was well equipped with fridge and tea facilities. The lady can make good meals. The village of Sauteurs is only half an hour walking from the place over a quiet road. Sauteurs is a little dull but has a certain Caribbean charm.
The apartment was exactly as described and as shown in the photos, but what we weren’t expecting was the huge balcony from which you could hear the sound of the sea. We could happily have stayed on the balcony for the whole trip! Lucinda was a fantastic host, and cook (we really enjoyed the meals we had). Almost Paradise is a great base to explore some of the less commercial areas of the island. If we’re lucky enough to go back to Grenada, we’ll definitely stay again! Beautiful views from this quirky property. Loved the outside shower and the bed on the mezzanine. Nice little kitchen area for simple meals although we opted for Lucinda to cook for us on two nights. Great beaches nearby - Davey was quiet and full of wildlife and Bathway was just like being in a bath! Highly recommended.
