This is a beautiful, spotless apartment right on the Ierapetra seafront with the most spectacular terrace overlooking the bay. Even in winter, we spent every morning out on the terrace admiring the view. Apostolis, our host, was fantastic. He left us fruit and wine, brought sweets and honey and could not have been nicer and or more helpful. This flat used to be his home, and it showed in all the comforts he provided. Due to being insulated and facing east, even without supplemental heat, the flat was gloriously warm at all times. we never needed to boost the heat with the aircon and even needed to cool down the bedroom at night! The kitchen was very well stocked and easy to cook in, which was helpful as most of the restaurants nearby were closed for the winter. The bathroom was large and well lit, with a great shower and plenty of hot water. We loved the location--it was a great base to explore eastern Crete and were sad to leave after our week there.
