For me it was the first time being in Crete Golden Bay was an amazing place to start my trip . We arrived early and we were welcomed. The breakfast is really nice and every day you get something different
The staff were amazing.
The rooms were clean and we got the most comfortable mattresses and clean sheets. The pool and the view are amazing and perfect for a chill and having your kid wandering there with no problem the restaurant near the pool is so nice and as a family feeling.

They offered us nice deals on car rental around and recommended where to go and travel around the area

A very nice facility clean and tidy very well preserved and with a very friendly and helpful staff.
The Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful especially Rania and Juwanna. We got 2 separate apartments, one of them had an amazing view of the sea (grand sea view apartment).
The breakfast was also delicious and had a good variety of options including traditional Greek food.
Regarding the location, there is a nearby beach that was not bad, and there is a supermarket and a few Restaurants on the same street. The area is quite and only 15 min away from the airport, 20 min to Heraklion city, and also around 15 min to Hersonissos (all by car).

The hotel was a nice surprise. Right on the sea front made for a special vibe, and the design was modern. Nice looking and good standard building. Some of the best hotel beds we can remember, and no sounds waking us up early which is such a plague with many hotels (from doors slamming, people shouting). With good, quiet AC sleep was good which is so important.
Adult international clientelle so no sun bed hogging, and no one staring. The included breakfast was good and plentiful. The pool bar food was however as with most of tavernas in Crete very average. The main restaurant had dinner buffet, but we never tried it. Good parking.
