Located right across the port of Piraeus, Hotel Ionion offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi access. Within a short walk, you can reach the train station, as well as a bus stop connecting to Athens International Airport. Ionion rooms are simply furnished and have a private bathroom with hairdryer. All rooms also feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a mini fridge and a desk. The center of Athens is 6.2 mi away. The New Acropolis Museum is easily accessible within a 15-minute bus ride. Private parking is available right across from the hotel upon surcharge.

The location of the hotel is perfect, the buillding was a bit old but room was so very clean, bed was very comfortable, bedsheets and towels clean. Room was quite. Staff is very helpful, starting the one who confirmed our booking throught the email, man who waited at receotion and a young nan helped us with a luggage.
Hotel staff were very pleasant. Although there is no parking- the lot across from the hotel was offered for 11 Euros a day- coming and going as desired- which was a plus since parking is challenging in Piraeus, so close to the port. Shops all around- so there really was no need for a car- since the Metro train is right around the corner and will get you to all the sites in Athens, but we had a car.
This is a CHEAP TWO-STAR hotel. The price was excellent and the facilities were minimal - just what you would expect from a two-star hotel. Everything was old but perfectly clean. A very nice place so spend a cheap night before an early morning port departure.
This hotel is extremely close to port where ferries come and go. It is a great place to stay before leaving on a trip or returning from one. The metro to the airport is only steps away.
The manager is a very kind and flexible person. He helped me out a lot by letting me do an early checkin when I was really exhausted from a difficult night trying to sleep on the ferry.
Also, there is an elevator to upper floors. I had three bags and the elevator made everything easy.
We just needed overnight between the boat arrival and departure from Athens airport. The place is ok for the price we’ve paid. There is a bus to the airport close by, few places to eat and the metro station. Being at the port it’s not the nicest place in Athens but for our needs it was good choice.
