the location is excellent, the place is very chill and the owner was friendly. its also right on top of a really good taverna. breakfast is served elsewhere, although you have to walk there its right in front of the beach, so nice view for breakfast

George the owner runs hotel Mariona and Tarsanas, which are very comfortable and well-located. George himself is exceptionally kind and generous- I visited Pythagorio in the off-season, and even though I was the only guest he went out of his way to cook delicious meals and to make sure I had everything I needed. He also gave me a helpful map of the town and answered all of my many questions about Samos island. The rooms are simple and clean, but if you have not stayed in this kind of Greek "taverna and rooms" hotel before, keep in mind that this place is more like an old house than a conventional hotel chain. Some of the fixtures and appliances might be a bit run down, you might have to let the shower run for a few minutes in order to get hot water, things like that. The expectation is that you will go talk to the owner if there is any problem or anything you need.
