Easygoing and helpful host, great value for money. Planned a trip for 12 days in the end of September and could not pick better place with three kids (6,3,1). Istron has a few beaches with crystal clear water and space for everyone. Best family restaurant and supermarket few minutes away. If you are not picky this is what you want:) Place is clean (stayed in the apartment in front of the pool) and has all you need although some might say that equipment is a bit old and renovation’s pending. No problem with parking, this place is about 150m above the main road uphill (good view). Ask if you need something (grill/frappe maker etc). Overall this place exceeded our expectations, will happily return next year:).)

Bye bye Veronika! We had a wonderful holiday in Crete - the area of Istron was quiet but with enough restaurants and bars to be able to eat out most nights. There are supermarkets to buy the essentials just down the road. The beach is just over the road so you can stroll there from the accommodation. Lovely rustic property and beautiful grounds with a wonderful sea view. The pool was fantastic to cool off in the hot weather, hardly anyone else there when we wanted to use it. Such good value for money! We hired a car and visited the nearby Agios Nikolaos, beautiful Elounda, Sitia port, Heraklion and various villages in the hills. We weren’t looking for busy tourist areas so avoided them, but next trip we plan to visit further away places as it is quite a big island to explore in 1 week! Most of all, Veronika was the best host - very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. We will be back for another visit!

Gorgeous view from typical cretan property with lovely pool. Brilliant hostes who provided all the basics needed. Fully stocked bathroom. Kitchen with provided olive oil, tea bags, filter coffee, instant coffee, washing up liquid and cloths, plus complimentary nibbles and wine. Freezer box for use for picnics on the beach. Such a lovely touch. It was 32 degrees, and we had to turn the air con off on a night as the building was very cool. The bed was perfect for me liking a hard bed but too hard for hubby! Ample parking. The accommodation is situated around 50 metres up a little road between 2 restaurants. It is a short walk to 2 lovely beaches. The one on the left is used by the locals and one which we preferred as very quiet. There is a local bus service to Agios Nikolaos. However, we didn't use it but saw people waiting. There are several little bars in walking distance, but the beauty of the place is that it isn't commercialised too much and a very Greek area.

Everything! Veronika went beyond anything to make our stay ostanding. Location is only 5 minutes walking from Voulisma beach.
