BY FAR, the most comfortable bed we had in all of Greece! That alone would make me rebook here. Lol!
The building looks a bit sketchy (although we never felt uncomfortable in any way!), and it was very dark when exiting the elevator, but the room itself was very nice (Queen room). There is a market about a block away so we used the kitchen, which was well equipped, to make breakfast each morning. It was a short walk to most of the major sites, and we liked being in a "real" neighborhood rather that right in the middle of all the touristy spots. Communication with the hosts was easy and very responsive. Also there is a laundry one block over which came in handy!
They layout and design were very nice - practical use has been considered; everything we needed was available, but nothing was in the way. The bed and linens were particularly comfortable. Everything was very clean.
For our purposes, this was an excellent location - we walked and used the metro. There are lots of great restaurants nearby and the neighborhood is nice.
We booked knowing that we were choosing a street-facing apartment, therefore noise was expected (something to keep in mind).
We had a great stay at the Koukaki Athens condo. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city. The condo was very clean and well-maintained by the management company. We also appreciated the convenience of the luggage room.
The roominess of the place. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and well maintained. There was plenty of hot water in an excellent shower stall. The unit itself has everything a couple could want for a short stay in Athens. The hosts were very responsive to every message sent and that was very much appreciated. WiFi worked well. The rating is really 8.5.
Proximity to both bus and metro stations.
The apartment is above a busy street, but once the balcony door/window is closed, no noise comes through.
