The location, the hosts, the laid back area of Frangokastello and the walk to the local supermarket to buy supplies. We used this hotel as our base as we explored the southern side of Crete. The restaurant is located onsite and we had dinner there on our first day and enjoyed local Cretan food. We would have loved to eat there more, but we were so busy travelling around to Lake Kournas, Palace of Phaistos, Souda beach and the nearby castle. The owners were very helpful and kind. It's a local experience and we loved staying here.

The property is set in a very peaceful location with its own taverna. The food is excellent and plentiful with different home cooked options each day. We ate here three days out of four. The studio was spacious if a little outdated although it did have a newly modernised bathroom.
Very friendly and accommodating owners. Comfortable apartment with all needed amenities for cooking, and foot access to wonderful locations. Even more with a car, whose parking is assured in front of the apartments.
