Отель Porfyrousa Traditional Hotel, Милопотамос, Греция

The house is a nice traditional house in the village of Mylopotamos, Kythira. The lady who owns the place loves the organic wines she makes and loves to talk about them and her grapes. Mylopotamos is a village with an incredible tavern not so far from the best villages, castles and beaches of Kythira. Breakfast was delicious. We loved the place!

The location was wonderful, with beautiful taverna just down the road. Elena was very helpful.

We had a wonderful time, thanks to the warm welcome by Elena, the owner. The appartment has lots of space, a great bathroom, good facilities in the kitchen and (very important in summertime) a good airconditioning. Every morning we had a fresh breakfast, served by Elena and the lovely helpfunctie Lorena. Keep in mind that the hotel calls itself traditional. Don’t expect the design and appearance of international hotel chains, but great hospitality and insights info life in Greece and especially Kythira. Elena speaks English very well and knows the island inside out. She provided us with lots of advice about interesting places as well as nice and easily accessible beaches. The village is very nice, with a few shops and restaurants.

The hostess Elena! She is very passionate about about Kythira and had a wonderful knowledge of local wine and olive oil which she makes herself. This is a beautiful traditional hotel..the best of the places we stayed on the island..very traditional Greek.Would have stayed longer if we could..
