Spiti Portokali was the best accommodation during our three-week road trip through Greece.
We had a parking space right next to the house, in a small, quiet side street.
The apartment is small, but very clean and lovingly furnished - with new windows and mosquito protection in front. The landlady, Aphrodite, lives above it with her family and gave us the warmest welcome with orange juice, fruit and jams. She also gave us lots of tips on restaurants and beaches and helped us with any questions we had.
A small store is around the corner, a beautiful beach Kalamaki is a 10-minute walk away and there are plenty of restaurants to suit all tastes.
In short: a perfect all-round carefree vacation package.
We missed Aphrodite and Spiti Portokali long after we left. We can only recommend it
We stayed here for a few days to take a break during our tour of Greece. The choice of Spiti Portokali turned out to be a bull's-eye. The apartment is spacious, very clean, comfortably and tastefully furnished. The spacious terrace allows you to enjoy a family dinner or just a lazy afternoon. Aphrodite is a wonderful and very polite person, caring for her guests. Shops and restaurants in town within a 10 minute walk. The city beach is also close (we recommend the small, wild and charming Kalamaki Beach). And if you want to sightseeing, there are a lot of impressive monuments of antiquity within an hour's car drive.
We really enjoyed our stay, walking distance to the town, a lovely vibe about the place, very good facilities, overall we had a lovely relaxing time. Our host was friendly, gave us orange juice and oranges which were delicious and also left jams in the fridge made by her mother in law, we would go again.
Aphrodite made us feel so welcome at her home. She gave us ideas and suggestions of where to visit, as well as bringing us cups of coffee and cakes. The apartment was beautifully finished and the terrace was a lovely quiet spot to enjoy the view out to sea over the roof tops. There was space to park the car below. The village had many tavernas and restaurants (although a lot of these were about to close when the season ended at the end of October). There were good shops in the village too so self catering was also possible. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment.
Loved the location of the place and how private it was. Aphrodite was a very kind and accommodating host. Place was very clean and comfortable.
