The hotel offered us a room with a seaside view due to it being empty on our arrival, and it was amazing. The rooms themselves are very large and nicely ventilated. The breakfasts had a high variety of both the desserts and appetizers. Everything was delicious. The pool in the hotel was very convenient, as it had a bar attached, and it was also nice to swim in on windy days (when the sea had high tides). The staff were super helpful in organizing transfers for us, and assisting in minor requests. They also offered various options for celebrating our wedding anniversary (we took the spa treatment, and it was sublime).

Everything ! And they had our room ready at 10am when we arrived after flying all the way from California ( traveling a total of 30 hours)

Thalassa is a pretty hotel on the beach, with spacious rooms and several amenities. There's the pool (and a pool bar with good hours), beach area, a spa (which I didn't try out), and more. My room rate included breakfast and dinner, which I only partially took advantage of. It's located in the town so you can also easily walk to other restaurants, bars, coffee shops, walk the beach, etc. I was on the second floor in 604, and y room had a tiny day bed downstairs (along with a loveseat, a small drink station, and desk), and then up a flight of stairs was the main bed. Overall this was fine, though going to the bathroom in the middle of the night becomes a bit of an adventure. Everything was very clean and the staff were very welcoming and helpful!

The location is great, close walking distance to the middle of Platanias. Staff was extremely friendly upon check-in, and even upgraded our room. The room was spacious, with a separate living room area and bedroom. Beautiful view of the sea, overlooking the pool area and beach. The breakfast is delicious, with a great variety of different foods. We had dinner one night at the resort, and it was awesome, the food was great, huge portions. The staff, and our waiter were very personable and friendly. Enjoyed the pool and beachfront umbrella/chairs on our last day, and had a great time. Ordered lunch, and it was just like dinner, delicious with huge portions. I have been to Crete on several occasions, and prefer Platanias. I think I found my new favorite resort for next time!!
