The houses are in a nice and quiet place, next to the mountains. It is a bit hidden, when you come with the car, especially later in the evening. The entire property was very clean and very nicely set up with the pool, the houses/ flowers and sunbeds.

Fantastic traditional style house done to a modern spec. Facilities very good and finish of property to a high standard. Size of property was impressive for our family of 3, split over two levels. Surrounding gardens beautifully maintained and pool, Sun loungers and hammocks great for enjoying this retreat up in the hills of SW of Crete. A fantastic base for exploring the beaches and mountain villages of this part of the island and close enough to easily visit the likes of Ellafonisi beach. A special mention for the host Mary though she was so friendly and accommodating with plenty of good info for the surrounding area, made us feel super welcome and always available if need be on site or via phone.

This is one of the most marvelous places I've ever been. Such a quiet place and extremely charming. The studios are built in a way you have privacy. The room is quite big and has everything you need. The bathroom is so beautiful and has a very nice shower. They use such great elements to make the environment more authentic. I particularly liked the old painted closets and the hammocks outside which made you feel very relaxed considering the view and the concert of the crickets. The pool (with it's view on the surrounding mountains) isn't quite big, but definitely enough for cooling down. The owner is an incredible host! He spoiled us with fresh figs, grapes, pastries. Every morning there's this friendly lady coming to ask if everything is okay and if you need something.

Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Absolutely loved everything about it!

Also, it is an excellent location to explore the west side of Crete!

I loved the peace, quiet and calm of the house. It's a wonderful break from the harsh sun on the coasts, but still at a perfect distance to Elafonissi (about 20 min drive) and other beaches for a morning or afternoon dip, with many great taverns and traditional product shops on the way.
