Not sure words can describe the feeling of staying at this hotel in this magical place. Excellent stay in all regards, the hospitality was second to none. Highly recommend if you can get out there!
Everything was incredible - location; experience; food; staff (Lilian!!!). Really an amazing experience.
First, Flatey Island is amazing, and I am super happy I chose to spend a night there. There is only one hotel on this small island. It's a beautiful, historical two building property. The adjoining restaurant is phenomenal, and the breakfast provided was the best I had in Iceland. Large numbers of Puffins are viewable at close range just a five minute walk up the road.
Flatey is absolutely charming and this hotel is perfect for the atmosphere of the location. Great summer concert series where locals and tourists alike share in the fun. Excellent food and one of the best cocktails I’ve had in Iceland.
The location of the hotel is excellent, the environment is unique.
