The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was one of the better ones we've encountered in our travels. Breakfast choices were ample, and the food was fresh. There are lots of good restaurants within easy walking distance, and it is an easy walk to bus stops. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful place, great and attentive staff. The location couldn't be better, right on a main street with access to a lot of shops and restaurants.
Just about everything about my stay at Sand Hotel was outstanding! Wonderful service upon arrival -- the staff was able to accommodate my early arrival into town. Selection at the breakfast was varied and very high quality. There were very nice bath products for use in the bathroom, and true to other reviews, I found the bed to be quite comfortable too. I would absolutely return here on a future visit to Reykjavik.
