The host was exceptional. We had a car problem while there and he made sure a mechanic was there to help. The location was quite good, short walk to downtown. Garage space was provided. The apartment was immaculate. It had evertong one needs.
Perfect for overnight stop en route to UK. No extra cost for our 2 dogs. Secure parking in a locked underground garage. Excellent pro active communication by the host.
The apartment was awesome. It was a pleasure to be in.
Safe and secure location. Great base to discover the area of Ribeira Sacra. Well equipped kitchen, lots of bed linen and towels. The host was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The flat is on the top floor (but there is a lift) offering nice views onto rolling fields. Easy street parking but there is also an option to use private parking in the underground garage.
There are plenty of leaflets and maps for visiting Ribeira Sacra attractions.
This was an immensely enjoyable experience, despite wet weather! The host kept in good communication with me from the start, and very kindly met me at the station to drive me to the flat. As it was raining and I had injured an arm, this was very welcome and much appreciated. (It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the station from the flat, wich is a typical Spanish apartment in a typical town block, and there is a lift). It was nicely furnished, everything worked well, especially the shower, and it was very clean. As is usual in Europe, there was no kettle for we English to make tea, but one can boil water in a pan, so no big issue. I was only there for one night because Monforte was essentially a staging post on a much longer journey, but I would love to explore the area further and hope to stay again for a few days next year. I wish Cristian and his family well for the future, and thank him again for his kindness.
