Beautifully maintained, quintessential Barcelona architecture. A very unique stay in the heart of the city. Conveniently located to pretty much everything. The host was very kind & accommodating. The triple room was two rooms adjacent, with a spacious private shared bathroom just one step outside the rooms.

This charming VRBO is in and among beautiful architecture. I was welcomed by my host, Carlos. He invited me to sit down, and in great detail, provided information about the area, sightseeing, restaurants, and provided a wonderful wine recommendation. I am a solo traveler, and I found the area safe and delightful. There are shops and services to meet the most basic needs, up to the most extravagant. It is easy to tour the areas by foot. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and plan to return.
Carlos is an outstanding host with great communications from before we arrived to our arrival. He gave great information about restaurants, the areas to visit, and travel within Barcelona. The area of this 150 year-old building is very nice and not at all touristy - reminded me of growing up in Greenwich Village in the 1950's. We were able to walk to all the typical sightseeing spots from the hotel. Taxicabs in Spain are very cheap compared to major US cities so that really helps if you are tired. It was easy to get any type cuisine you wanted and good grocery stores were within 2 blocks. Restaurants were very reasonable and being mostly local clientele the food was never disappointing. The building and room architecture was very interesting with an elevator you see in old European movies. All-in-all great.
First, Carlos is an amazing host. He spent time with us as part of the check-in to educate us on the neighborhood, provided a map, which he annotated with good places to eat, how to get to the places we wanted to see, and other helpful tidbits for navigating around beautiful Barcelona! Second, the room was stunning and the beds beyond comfortable. An all around great place to stay.
