It is an Inn inside a beautiful Monastery in the local wine country. It appears to be run by the Augustine order, so there will be a cross in your room. But there is nothing staid about the place. The rooms are ample and are done up in a modern style, with comfortable beds, large bathrooms and good wifi. There is a cafeteria that serves a local breakfast buffet (don't expect eggs and bacon, but croissants, bread and a variety of spreads along with local jamon, chorizo and cheese). We did not stay for lunch, but I did have an excellent swim in the immaculately clean pool, which is around 30 meters or so and opens at noon in August. You can take a beautiful walk around the monastery's gardens and vines. The hotel offers visits to its library and other local activities. It was wonderfully calming, and all the staff were helpful and friendly.
The building and setting beautiful . Breakfast limited but adequate.
The staff was thorough, friendly, accomodating and warm. From ownership/management, to the front desk, and the kitchen/cafe. Morning and night crews. We felt so special on our anniversary holiday.
Beautiful venue; attention was above and beyond. Highly recommend.
