Not only the owner lady but also all the staff are so lovely and helpful. Location is very nice. Very clean shared bathrooms and rooms.

Lovely building located in an amazing area. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The manager, Camila was a priceless help during our stay in Madrid, we could extend our stay without difficulty, something not easy as most hotels at these prices were completely booked. Hostal Castilla is located not far from the very center of Madrid and the nearby Alonso Martinez metro station was a great help. We could walk to the Prado or Reina Sofia en 30 minutes, or look at the shops in the Gran Via in less than 15. The Hostal is also moderately priced and spotlessly clean. Kitchen facilities are adequate if you wish to rest and dine "at home" after a tiring day at the museums.
