Really friendly staff and I got my room upgraded for free, just because they could! I could also store my bike in a safe place there and it was no problem to leave it there for a few hours after checkin out.
I didn't know what to expect from El Ejido as it is the main town for the fruit industry in the south of Spain. We were passing through on a cycling trip. However it had plenty of life, nice bars and restaurants. Our host guided us to a lovely local tapas bar and it was excellent. The hotel itself was exceptional value for money.
